Position

Amazon is a highly data-driven company, deeply committed to metrics. The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in generating unique reports from data available in multiple locations, providing vital insights into the root cause of quality defects and inventory adjustments. The ICQA Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the ICQA, Learning, and Finance departments to deliver data and analytical support for the business.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Development of data collection processes and data management systems
  • Designing of queries, compiling of data, and generation of reports in SQL
  • Charting and graphing of data for reporting purposes
  • Developing dashboards (Amazon QuickSight) to support business decision-making and dive deep activities
  • Developing automation solutions for analysis using Python
  • Preparing and publishing reports for business reviews (Weekly Business Review, Quarterly Business Review, Project Updates)
  • Supporting the leadership team in the interpretation of data trends as needed
  • Conducting in-depth research of defect trends
  • Data collection and entry as required
  • Presenting analysis in easily digestible reports
  • Providing support to ICQA & Learning Team Projects

Basic Qualifications

  • UAE National with a family book
  • 3+ years of experience in data warehousing with proven expertise in ETL processes and data modeling
  • Strong command of SQL (including complex joins, stored procedures, and query optimization)
  • Proven experience with at least one major BI platform (preferably QuickSight) including dashboard creation and maintenance
  • Proficiency in Python, particularly with data analysis libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
  • Experience in automating data collection and reporting processes
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and predictive modeling
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Certification in relevant technologies (AWS)
