Position

Amazon is a highly data-driven company, obsessed with metrics. Data analysts play a crucial role in creating unique reports from data available in multiple locations and providing vital insights into the root cause of quality defects and inventory adjustments. The ICQA Data Analyst will work closely with the ICQA, Learning, and Finance departments to provide data and analytical support for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of data collection processes and data management systems.
  • Designing queries, compiling data, and generating reports in SQL.
  • Charting and graphing data for reporting purposes.
  • Developing dashboards using Amazon Quicksight to support business decision-making and dive deep activities.
  • Creating automation solutions for analysis using Python.
  • Preparing and publishing reports for business reviews (Weekly Business Review, Quarterly Business Review, Project Updates).
  • Supporting the leadership team in interpreting data trends as needed.
  • Conducting in-depth research of defect trends.
  • Collecting and entering data as needed.
  • Presenting analysis in easily digestible standard reports to support the ICQA and Learning Team projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • UAE National with a family book.
  • 3+ years of experience in data warehousing with demonstrated expertise in ETL processes and data modeling.
  • Strong command of SQL (including complex joins, stored procedures, and query optimization).
  • Proven experience with at least one major BI platform (preferably QuickSight) including dashboard creation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Python, particularly with data analysis libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
  • Experience automating data collection and reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (AWS).
