Backend Software Engineer

About the Job:
The Global Travel Business team at ByteDance aims to deliver advanced product solutions in the Corporate Services domain, focusing on improving management efficiency and user experience in business travel. We build intelligent decision-making platforms for business owners and develop efficient apps for ticket and hotel reservations, with our travel app recognized as the most welcomed business app in ByteDance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop server-side projects for ByteDance's travel products, delivering high availability, performance, and scalability through quality design and coding.
• Explore tools and processes to enhance team efficiency and contribute to the team’s technical growth.
• Engage in all stages of the product delivery cycle, including requirement review, system design, testing communication, monitoring, operational support, and project management.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in computer science or a related field.
• Familiarity with Java or Golang technology stacks, with experience in performance tuning.
• Knowledge of distributed system design patterns and technologies, including message queues and distributed storage.
• Expertise in operating systems, computer networks, and information security with problem-solving ability using common data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases, and capability to independently analyze and resolve related issues.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language and ability to troubleshoot on Linux.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading medium to large projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AI/ML and application within the business domain.
