Data Engineer, Information System

As a Data Engineer in the Corporate Service System (CSS) Data team at ByteDance, you will play a critical role in empowering our business with high-quality real-time and offline data solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and building reliable data transformations for various purposes such as reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis; implementing scalable and robust big data systems that support core products and business operations; and establishing best engineering practices for both technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data transformations for reporting, analysis, and other purposes.
• Build and optimize big data systems that ensure reliability and scalability.
• Promote solid design practices and engineering standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka).
• Proven ability in data analysis, data ingestion, and integration.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data systems architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools for scalable data infrastructure.
