Position

As a Junior Simulator Engineer/Technician, you will support all training center operations activities to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at a brand-new Training Center located in Dubai, UAE. Your role will involve striving to achieve CAE's goal of providing world-class flight simulator training center operations, enhancing safety, efficiency, and readiness in all aspects of training center operations, in alignment with CAE's vision as a global training partner of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support technical and operational aspects of the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices.
  • Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness checks, scheduled preventative maintenance, and support Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).
  • Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve training device issues and AOGs.
  • Identify recurring issues and pursue permanent solutions.
  • Seek and implement improvements to procedures related to training device maintenance tasks.
  • Support minor updates of Nav DB, Terr DB, OIS & EFB Charts, Documents, and Perf Data, as well as IOS Lesson Plan uploads.
  • Maintain, track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform PMTs and Daily Readiness.
  • Support logistics duties, including yearly inventories and preparation for shipping.
  • Pursue knowledge and skills to become a technical expert in one or more simulator systems (i.e. Visual, Motion, Flight Controls, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field.
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (read, spoken, and written).
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
  • Good working knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming languages; capable of writing code and making minor software changes.
  • Basic technical background (Hardware and Software) and familiarity with FSTD technical issues, specifically in areas like motion, visual, avionics, and dynamics of flight.
  • Fundamental knowledge of various aircraft types, including Commercial Jetliners (Airbus family).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
