Systems Integrations Engineering Manager

About the Job: Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to global enterprise and technology markets, most notably through our platform, Ubuntu. This role offers a chance for a technologist passionate about Linux and Ubuntu to contribute to Canonical's success. The Commercial Systems unit ensures reliable data flow across Canonical's business systems, utilizing popular SaaS solutions like Salesforce, NetSuite, and GSuite along with open-source tools such as Airbyte and Temporal. As a Systems Integrations Engineering Manager, you will lead a team focused on integrating these systems to automate processes and enhance business efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and hire a team of software engineers.
• Design and deliver engineering solutions using Go, Python, and open-source tools.
• Collaborate with business customers to identify data and integration needs.
• Continuously seek improvements to engineering processes.

Requirements:

• Experience as a software developer in Python.
• Excellent understanding of integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience as an engineering manager or team lead.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally for team meetings, approximately 2-4 times a year.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with a high-level programming language, preferably Go.
• Background in a business role such as sales, finance, or operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
