The Interface Engineer will be responsible for managing all external interfaces related to the project. Key responsibilities include preparing the interface matrix and generating the interface register for both internal and external clients, developing and maintaining interface management plans to effectively track and resolve issues among various project components and stakeholders, and collaborating with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to specify interface requirements and deliverables.
Additional duties involve conducting regular interface meetings and workshops to facilitate alignment and communication, monitoring interface deliverables to ensure timely resolution and mitigate schedule risks, and liaising with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns about interface management. The role also requires reviewing engineering drawings and documents for compliance with interface requirements, escalating risks and opportunities to project leadership for resolution, coordinating with project controls to integrate interface activities into schedules and budgets, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives through the development of best practices and lessons learned. The Engineer will ensure all work is conducted to high-quality standards and delivered on schedule, promote safety leadership and coordinate across all project disciplines, conduct engineering audits, risk assessments, and necessary training, and perform other duties related to successful project operations and supporting EPC engineering initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent, along with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an engineering design office or EPC for FPSO/FFSO/FPU/MOPU projects, is required. Candidates should have experience with FEED design, FEED verification, and detailed engineering for structural discipline; knowledge in loadout, T&I, and offshore hookup; and experience delivering at least one 30,000 MT mega project in the design stage. Proficiency in relevant codes and standards related to safety and occupational health, strong technical knowledge across engineering functions for offshore projects, familiarity with 2GW projects in European offshore substation projects, and a proven ability to resolve technical issues during project planning and EPC execution are essential. Strong organizational and project management skills are also necessary.
