The Vice President - Information Technology at DP World is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of divisional policies, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with procedural and legislative requirements while delivering quality, cost-effective service to customers. This role involves managing the IT budget, supervising day-to-day operations, and directing IT strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee divisional policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with ISR regulations to protect company information and intellectual properties.
- Consolidate and monitor the IT budget, identifying areas for cost reduction and performance improvement.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Technology Centre, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Manage all IT operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support services.
- Lead the design and maintenance of enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRMS, IFS).
- Implement IT governance best practices and conduct necessary audits.
- Organize user reviews and satisfaction surveys.
- Coordinate project resources and market demands to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and succession planning within the department.
- Establish and implement security requirements and strategies.
Experience/Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent (essential).
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (desirable).
- Training in Information Security, Control Structures, Network Access & Security, and Backup Systems.
- Experience leading an IT team on high-value projects.
- Broad knowledge of information technology, technical management, information analysis, and computer systems.
- Expertise in data center management and governance.
- Proven experience as an IT manager or in a relevant role within a large organization.
