L2 Data and Endpoint Security Engineer – Operational Support & Maintenance
This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves operational support and maintenance of data and endpoint security systems. The position requires close collaboration with IT and security teams, providing an opportunity for career development and specialization in security technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support & Monitoring: Monitor the health and performance of data and endpoint security systems to ensure high availability and effectiveness. Respond promptly to security alerts and perform initial troubleshooting on incidents.
- Routine Configuration & Maintenance: Assist with configuration changes, updates, and regular maintenance tasks for all supported security technologies. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident logs.
- Issue Diagnosis & Escalation: Diagnose and resolve common technical issues related to security systems. Escalate more complex or unresolved issues to the L3 engineer, providing thorough documentation and context.
- Incident Management & Reporting: Assist in incident response activities and document incident details for post-incident reviews. Provide periodic reports on system performance and incident trends.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with IT, security, and support teams to ensure operational stability and rapid issue resolution. Communicate status updates and collaborate on improvements to processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in operational support for security solutions, with exposure to both data and endpoint security technologies.
- Familiarity with technologies such as DLP/NDLP, DRM, Database Activity Monitoring, Data Masking & Encryption, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Antivirus & Sandboxing.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills & Certifications:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or vendor-specific credentials are preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management best practices.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new security technologies and practices.
