About the Job: Architect and manage Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE) for critical infrastructure. Design and manage AIX server in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments. Automate OS deployments, patching, and configuration using Ansible and SaltStack. Integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools to ensure system compliance with security standards. Analyze performance bottlenecks and provide permanent fixes via root cause analysis of Linux/AIX systems. Collaborate on DR readiness and participate in high-availability testing. Required Skills: - Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning. - Expertise in AIX OS, PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, and VIO servers. - Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure. - Awareness of CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration. - Proficient in security compliance standards and OS-level auditing. - Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or similar automation tools. - Experience in setting up Linux centralized management tools (RedHat Satellite/SUSE Manager) and patch management. - Good knowledge of hybrid IT environments.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role. - Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis. - Proficiencies in data analysis and technical knowledge. - A continuous learner that stays updated with industry knowledge and technology.
Other Qualifications: - An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. - Relevant certifications, such as Linux/AIX Certifications.
