We’re looking for a highly technical, proactive, and people-smart Delivery Director with expertise in the software services industry to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex transformation programs, projects, and multiple workstreams while collaborating with both local and global delivery teams. In this role, you will be accountable for overall project delivery, client satisfaction, and management of expectations, ensuring that work is on strategy, on time, and within budget. You will work alongside globally renowned and award-winning design, development, and technology teams, fostering strong business and technology relationships and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end client delivery from initiation through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery in line with company processes.
- Manage client relationships and expectations, representing delivery at the governance level.
- Coordinate multiple activity streams and clients, ensuring seamless delivery across all aspects, including finance, sourcing, implementation, and business outcomes.
- Work closely with multi-disciplined teams of product owners, architects, engineers, and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify and manage engagement risks, escalating major issues early on.
- Participate in business development efforts for both existing and new clients, continuously identifying new opportunities.
- Engage in the entire pre-sales cycle, prepare client proposals, define implementation and design, and present solution architecture and delivery statements of work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management, with the ability to provide strategic direction and set goals.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously from initiation to delivery while effectively prioritizing tasks.
- Experience in building and leading geographically distributed delivery teams and working with clients’ distributed teams.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their related services.
- Hands-on experience in technology and software engineering practices, with the ability to supervise and suggest competitive technical decisions.
- Ability to present delivery strategies and progress reports to executive leadership.
- Self-motivated, reliable, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience delivering large scale ecommerce projects using composable architecture (e.g., commerce tools).
- Proficiency in data management concepts, including data governance, data quality, data integration, and data lifecycle management.
