The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will lead an SRE squad focused on enhancing service reliability, performance, and scalability. Responsibilities include driving automation to reduce toil, optimizing system uptime, and managing incident resolution efforts. The SRE is responsible for building monitoring systems, optimizing infrastructure, and implementing safe deployment practices while ensuring alignment with SLAs/SLOs and contributing to system development and code reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Reporting: Lead an SRE squad, represent the team in senior management briefings, and produce dashboards and progress reports.
- Toil Reduction & Automation: Identify and eliminate toil through automation of repetitive tasks.
- Service Reliability & Uptime: Maintain and improve service availability by designing failover strategies and hardening systems.
- Performance & Latency Optimization: Enhance service performance and reduce latency using various profiling tools and analyses.
- Change & Deployment Management: Implement safe deployment practices (e.g., canary releases, blue-green deployments).
- Monitoring & Observability: Build and manage real-time monitoring and alerting systems.
- Incident Management & RCA: Lead incident resolution efforts and conduct root cause analyses.
- Capacity & Cost Optimization: Perform infrastructure capacity planning and cost-efficient scaling.
- Development & Code Review: Contribute to system development and participate in design/code reviews.
- Governance, Compliance & Documentation: Maintain documentation and enforce IT governance standards.
Education & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms in two or more programming languages.
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with expertise in large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, data centers, networks, and virtual infrastructure is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in English is required.
