Data Governance Project Lead / SME for Banking Project

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Project Lead (SME) to join our onsite team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, project management, and change management within the banking and financial services industry. Excellent communication skills, along with planning, budgeting, and program management experience, are crucial for this role.

This position is critical in implementing a data management framework, including the implementation of data management policies and procedures across the organization. The Data Governance Project Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data operationalization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise in data management framework implementation.
• Manage the project plan, budget, risk, and implementation of policies, standards, and procedures.
• Understand DAMA and industry best practices in data management.
• Communicate complex data concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Work with data governance tools and technologies, preferably Informatica DEQ, EDC, AXON, etc.
• Execute budget planning and implement projects successfully, including managing at least 2-3 large engagements into production go-live.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in data management and governance within the banking and financial services industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiatives and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is beneficial.
