About the Job:
GAC Marine is seeking an IT Manager to be based at our marine base in Abu Dhabi. This role entails owning GAC Marine's IT infrastructure and services to ensure effective technological support for our maritime operations and office, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency. As a leader in digital transformation, the successful candidate will be responsible for mobilizing strategic IT solutions across all operations.
Job Description:
- Technology Business Management: Maintain, upgrade and support IT systems. Ensure the security and integrity of the company’s IT infrastructure. Manage hardware, software and network resources. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Digital Transformation: Lead digital transformation initiatives across GAC Marine, including implementing various technologies. Evaluate and integrate new software solutions to improve business performance capabilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Administer network and data security, active directory, firewalls, and email security. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Technical Fleet & Business Support: Support the Fleet Technical Engineer in implementing Operations Maintenance and Navigation solutions. Manage vendor relationships and analyze system performance for improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably in the maritime or logistics industry.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are considered a plus.
- Familiarity with maritime software systems and applications.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- A successful track record in implementing large-scale IT-related change programs.
