This position is for a Senior System Engineer specialized in Windows, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, office-based role with a potential need to work across different data center sites. The job involves on-call support, including during holidays and weekends, as per rotation.

Job Purpose: Responsible for installing, configuring, testing, managing, and maintaining Windows systems and system management tools.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows systems and system management tools
  • Implement and configure Radius integration with domain and network devices
  • Configure Windows Backup, imaging, and Veeam Backup
  • Configure HP, Dell, and Nutanix hardware servers
  • Implement and manage VMware, Nutanix AOS, and manage vCenter and Nutanix Prism Central
  • Patch Windows and Linux servers, ensuring timely installation of firmware patches and updates
  • Configure advanced settings on Domain Controller (e.g., Cross Forest-Trusts)
  • Implement Active Directory Federation services (AD-FS) and integration with cloud infrastructure (OCI, etc.) and RODC
  • Implement and configure Remote Desktop services (RD broker, RD Gateway, and RD web services)
  • Lead capacity planning to meet business requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies
  • Operate Docker/Containers
  • Install, configure, and maintain Antivirus (TrendMicro)
  • Implement security measures per PCI-DSS policies
  • Provide local and remote Tier 3 systems support including advanced troubleshooting
  • Coordinate and interface with external vendors and application/system vendors for changes
  • Perform disaster recovery operations and regularly record backups
  • Monitor system performance to determine necessary changes
  • Maintain asset inventory and support/license services renewal
  • Follow escalation protocols for critical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of systems administration/engineering experience in cloud/virtualization/managed service provider environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or equivalent
  • MCSE or MCITP certification required
  • Nutanix (NCP) or VMware (VCP) certification required
  • Excellent knowledge of PCI compliance is a must
  • Azure, AWS, or OCI Solution Architect certification preferred
  • Strong experience with Active Directory
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies (OCI, AWS, Azure, VMware, Nutanix)
  • Experience implementing and maintaining open-source systems and monitoring tools (e.g., CACTI, Grafana, PRTG)
  • Ability to create and adapt processes and procedures
  • Experience with managing Docker Containers preferred
