We are seeking a highly talented Senior Software Engineer (iOS or Android) to join our team in Riyadh. This role is ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience and a chance to make a direct impact. The perfect candidate will have a strong track record as an individual contributor and a solid ability to work within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on the latest software development methodologies to provide best-in-class solutions.
- Analyze product requirements to evaluate technical feasibility and estimate efforts in collaboration with the Product Team.
- Build development components and manage programming for solution components to transform requirements into functional software.
- Document coding steps for clarity and future maintenance.
- Write unit, integration, and UI/Snapshot tests.
- Investigate and resolve issues and bugs through patches and other means.
- Collaborate with colleagues on code reviews and deliver reports on those reviews.
- Perform functional and module testing to ensure the functionality of delivered solutions.
- Monitor and report on product development, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Assist in user trials and acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software development experience with practical knowledge of design patterns and algorithms, preferably using Kotlin or Swift (Java acceptable).
- Experience with Flutter is preferred.
- Skilled in native Android development with hands-on experience writing high-quality, testable code.
- In-depth knowledge of the mobile engineering lifecycle and experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban).
- Proven track record of impacting the development of complex systems.
- Familiarity with modern Android Development practices and tools such as ViewModel, LiveData, Paging, Navigation, SafeArgs, Retrofit2, RxJava2, Dagger2, and Modular App Architecture.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and ability to write new modules using maintainable architecture.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Firebase, Google Maps API, Fastlane scripting, and Checkout.com SDK.
