As Head of Solutions Engineering at Lean Technologies, you will define the technical sales strategy, create playbooks, and lead a high-performing team. Your role involves maintaining close relationships with key clients to understand and address their needs while linking revenue directly to customer outcomes. Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams, you will translate frontline feedback into product improvements.
Your team of Solutions Engineers will act as technical experts, working with prospects and clients to transform business goals into scalable data architectures, payment solutions, and reconciliation processes. You will oversee all technical engagements, from initial design discussions to production scaling, while ensuring that customer feedback represents their needs in Lean’s development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a team of Solutions Engineers focused on delivering high-quality guidance and customer attention.
- Develop scalable playbooks covering engagement, solution design, and implementation support.
- Collaborate with Sales on pre-sales activities, including technical discovery, demos, and client presentations.
- Channel customer feedback to influence Product and Engineering developments.
- Engage with senior leadership and technical stakeholders across fintech and large enterprises, helping to shape their open banking strategies.
- Set and monitor team performance targets connected to client revenue growth, particularly during initial client engagements.
- Promote faster project launches, deeper product adoption, and increased API usage within your client base.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, perseverance, and grit within your team, while operating across both Saudi Arabia and UAE markets.
- Act as a thought leader, contributing to architecture publications and representing Lean at industry events.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting, preferably within an API-first company.
- Minimum of 3 years managing Solutions Engineering or Technical Client Success teams, ideally in fast-paced environments.
- Strong background with APIs, client integrations, and solution design, with a preference for candidates with payments experience or knowledge in Open Banking and financial APIs.
- Proven success in leading revenue growth initiatives and managing complex client engagements.
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering to adapt roadmaps based on structured client feedback.
- Experience in the MENA region is preferred; relocation may be required.
- Arabic language skills are a strong plus but not mandatory.
