As a Technical Director, you will be accountable for the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services on projects, ensuring adherence to time, budget, safety, and quality requirements. You will drive high-quality, time-efficient, and profitable delivery while providing leadership and ensuring compliance with governance and assurance standards. Managing teams of technical and construction staff, you will build and retain strong working relationships with colleagues and both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the MEP team professionally, providing clear direction and ensuring compliance with Mace standards.
- Ensure successful delivery of MEP services, including program management, health and safety, quality, and commissioning.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Support tendering and procurement, ensuring scope, budget, and resource alignment.
- Review contracts, budgets, and schedules, assisting commercial teams throughout the project.
- Oversee design reviews for compliance, coordination, and sustainability targets.
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies and delivery programs.
- Utilize digital tools to assess productivity and manage project risks.
- Drive project close-out activities including commissioning, documentation, and client training.
- Lead continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Manage senior stakeholders and large teams, providing coaching and performance management.
- Support net-zero carbon goals through proactive emissions management.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree qualification.
- Strong high-end hospitality experience in mixed-use schemes.
- Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.
- Significant land bank experience at various stages of development.
- Extensive experience in driving projects through the development cycle.
- Ability to conduct market studies, feasibility reports, and present business cases for project approval.
