Position

About the Job:
The primary objective of the Cyber Risk Associate is to establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and governance frameworks within the NEOM eco-system. This role includes overseeing the implementation of cybersecurity methodologies, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and managing cybersecurity committees and executive reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards, laws, regulations, and NEOM's requirements.
  • Supervise the development of a governance framework and operating model that aligns with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Monitor the implementation of cybersecurity methodologies and define roles and responsibilities for timely detection and mitigation of cyber threats.
  • Maintain and update the Unified Cybersecurity Framework, Risk and Control Matrix, and implementation trackers.
  • Establish a consistent cybersecurity governance methodology across the organization.
  • Provide advisory support on cybersecurity governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of cyber programs and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance cybersecurity policies and manage risk effectively.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cyber risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry regulations and frameworks such as ISO27001, ISO31000, NIST, etc.
  • Proficiency in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Strong background in security controls, auditing, and network/system security.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (ISO 27001, CISA, CISM, CRISC, PMP, or equivalent).
