As a Data Center Technician, you will support IT Infrastructure and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems). You should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. The position involves on-call responsibilities, requiring a driving license to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes. The role also necessitates a physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and may involve working in cramped spaces or elevated locations. You will need strong communication skills in both oral and written form, with an emphasis on clear interaction in a virtual environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and adherence to processes is essential.

Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure support
- Previous experience in a "mission critical operations" environment
- Basic knowledge of data center design and operations (electrical, cooling, etc.)
- Strong skills in structured cabling for fiber and copper
- Expertise in systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers)
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, basic troubleshooting)
- IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86 architecture, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Act as HW support expert liaison to other technical and non-technical teams
- Install, monitor, maintain, and optimize all production server hardware
- Participate in system board level repair and fault diagnosis
- Planning and commissioning new rack positions
- Install structured cabling as a significant part of this position
- Adhere to defined Health & Safety processes
