The Platform Analytics Specialist is responsible for managing the operational lifecycle of web and app tracking, tag management system (TMS) operations, attribution frameworks, and A/B testing analytics infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics teams to ensure accurate data collection, robust tracking implementations, and compliance with data governance and user consent standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tag Management System (TMS) Operations: Manage the configuration and maintenance of tagging systems like Google Tag Manager and ensure tag data integrity.
- Data Governance & Consent Compliance: Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to enforce data governance policies and ensure tracking implementations respect user consent frameworks.
- Web & App Tracking Operations: Oversee implementation and QA of tracking events across web and mobile applications, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure accuracy.
- Attribution Framework Support: Manage and ensure quality assurance of attribution models that reflect user journey engagement.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation Analytics: Manage analytics infrastructure for experimentation platforms, ensuring data quality for A/B tests.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Documentation: Serve as a liaison across teams and document tagging standards and compliance guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years experience with product analytics tracking and operations.
- Hands-on experience managing Tag Management Systems (e.g., GTM, Tealium).
- Proficiency with analytics platforms such as GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Heap.
- Understanding of attribution modeling and A/B testing analytics.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and consent frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of analytics SDKs and customer data platforms (e.g., Tealium, Segment).
- SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- Experience supporting compliance audits and privacy-driven data governance.
