Snowflake Technical Lead

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Snowflake Technical Lead to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This full-time role is based on-site and requires a strong technical leader to guide end-to-end Snowflake-based data warehouse implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end Snowflake-based data warehouse implementations.
• Design and implement scalable Snowflake data models and ELT pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through proper clustering, pruning, and tuning.
• Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Implement data governance, security, and best practices in Snowflake.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data integration using tools like dbt, Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate legacy data systems to Snowflake.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and documentation.

Required Skills:

• Proven expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse – architecture, SQL, Snow SQL, Snow pipe, Streams & Tasks, UDFs, etc.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and performance tuning techniques.
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools like Matillion is preferred.
• Experience working with cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Good understanding of data modeling (dimensional & normalized) and modern ELT patterns.
• Proficiency in handling semi-structured data like JSON, Avro, or Parquet in Snowflake.
• Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices for data deployments.
• Experience in agile project delivery and stakeholder communication.
