In this role, you will design and develop a cohesive software and system ecosystem that includes an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), a runtime environment for industrial real-time devices, and a digital platform. You will closely collaborate with product teams (hardware and software) to ensure seamless integration of all components, enhancing usability and system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce best practices in software architecture, design, firmware development, and system architecture to meet non-functional requirements such as performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Apply scalable agile methodologies to facilitate collaborative and efficient teamwork, ensuring timely delivery of integrated solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various fields to gather and validate requirements, ensuring the software ecosystem meets diverse needs.
- Lead technological decision-making processes for individual products and the overall product portfolio, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and technology standards.
- Stay updated on new technologies and methods that could benefit the ecosystem and drive continuous innovations and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in software architecture, system design, system architecture, and embedded software development, with a comprehensive understanding of IDEs, runtime environments, and digital platforms.
- Proven ability to integrate complex software products into cohesive ecosystems, focusing on usability and performance optimization.
- Strong background in industrial automation, mechanical engineering, or the manufacturing industry, with practical technical experience in developing required system/software architectures for modern automation solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and make informed decisions.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, allowing you to convey technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders in a matrix organization.
- Familiarity with modern software development tools, languages, and frameworks, with a readiness to stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

The minimum salary based on the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is €4,623.87 gross/month, with readiness for overpayment depending on qualifications and experience.
