The NOC Engineer (L1) will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting network operations to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This role involves working in a 24/7 shift-based environment to detect and resolve network issues efficiently. The ideal candidate should have basic networking knowledge, a keen eye for troubleshooting, and a willingness to learn and grow within the field of network operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and critical IT systems to detect performance issues and outages.
- Respond to network alerts, investigate incidents, and perform initial troubleshooting to resolve minor issues.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to L2/L3 teams and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
- Maintain incident logs and documentation for tracking network performance and issue resolution.
- Assist in network device configuration, software updates, and patch management under supervision.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for routers, switches, firewalls, and network links.
- Support IT teams in diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues for internal users.
- Follow established NOC procedures, SLAs, and escalation protocols to ensure efficient network operations.
- Participate in shift handovers, providing detailed reports on network incidents and performance.
- Continuously improve technical skills and stay updated with emerging networking technologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Network Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Understanding of Routing & Switching concepts.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or any relevant networking certification (a plus but not required).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy).
