About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2 Security Operations Engineer to manage our network security infrastructure in a rotational 24/7 shift. The role requires on-call coverage and accountability for maintaining a stable and secure network environment. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance our platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage network security infrastructure, ensuring stability and availability on a 24/7 basis.
  • Provide on-call coverage to handle security-related incidents and issues outside working hours.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute system upgrades as per the patch management review process.
  • Maintain and monitor all installed certificates in F5.
  • Monitor security client coverage across all workstations and take proactive measures.
  • Enhance the process for firewall policies (service request and implementation) and conduct periodic firewall policy clean-up exercises.
  • Enable and roll out Two-Factor Authentication on supported systems, devices, and applications.
  • Coordinate with vendors TAC and professional services to maintain network stability.
  • Execute the assigned load of Change Requests (CRQs), Service Requests (SRs), and Work Orders (WOs) daily.
  • Utilize automation tools and scripting languages (such as Python, Perl, or Shell) to streamline network operations and tasks.

Operational Support:

  • Handle Incident and Configuration management.
  • Perform regular system maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, and capacity planning, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Implement and enforce security policies for Security systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct vulnerability remediation, keeping the systems secure and protected.
  • Develop and maintain Operational documentation (“SOPs”), including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecom/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional Level Certificates.
  • 6+ years of experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Solid experience and extensive hands-on with various security appliances and technologies.
  • Strong experience with multi-vendor networks and familiarity with network management systems (NMS).
  • Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in VPN protocols (IPSec, GRE, SSL, Remote Access).
  • Strong experience in VPN, DDoS Solution, Load Balancer & WAF, Endpoint Security, Web Proxy, NAC Solution, Visibility Control & IPS, and Security Design.

Employment Type: Full-time in Riyadh. Must accept to work in Banks and in operation teams with shift coverage.
