American University of Sharjah

American University of Sharjah (AUS) is an independent, not-for-profit institution of higher education founded in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed AlQasimi. Located in University City, Sharjah, the university is based on the American model of higher education and serves a diverse international student body. AUS offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs through the College of Architecture, Art and Design; the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Engineering; and the School of Business Administration.
