About the job:
The IT Administration & Infrastructure Lead, provides the strategic & tactical direction and guidance relating to the AD’s infrastructure, comprising of Systems, Server hardware, Software, Data Center, Network, Storage, & Database technologies, virtual infrastructure, and configuration in support of AD business need. Oversee the management and monitoring of computer networks, internet and related computing environments to ensure infrastructure performance as per AD business requirements. Lead the management of MS 365 and windows defender, IT infrastructure configuration, performance monitoring and logging. Responsible to ensure IT infrastructure services high availability and continuity.
Responsibilities:
Network & Internet Management: Ensure reliable and secure network connectivity. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network settings for optimal performance. Implement security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access.
MS 365 Management: Lead the management and security of MS 365 and Windows Defender. Manage MS product configurations, provide support to users, and optimize settings for MS 365 applications. Implement security measures and manage Windows Defender settings.
Active Directory Management: Manage user accounts and access controls in Active Directory. Configure and maintain domain controllers for user authentication. Provide support for user account-related issues and ensure proper access controls are in place.
IT Infrastructure Configuration Management: Maintain information about configuration items (CIs), identify and document configuration items within the IT infrastructure, perform status accounting, and conduct configuration audits to ensure compliance with standards.
IT Infrastructure Performance Monitoring & Logging: Track and record system performance metrics and issues, monitor the performance of IT infrastructure components, manage logs generated by various systems and applications, and set up alerts and notifications for critical events.
IT Infrastructure Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Maintain service levels and ensure business continuity under various conditions. Design and implement high availability strategies, develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures, and test and validate the effectiveness of continuity and recovery measures.
IT Infrastructure Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools and methodologies to continuously monitor the performance and health of network and infrastructure components. Oversee the tracking of key metrics and guide the team in implementing redundancy, failover mechanisms, and high availability solutions.
Network Performance Monitoring: Define monitoring mechanisms to monitor network devices, links, and traffic flows in real-time, utilize network monitoring tools to track the health and status of network components, conduct deep packet inspection and flow analysis, and implement proactive alerting mechanisms.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science with substantial coursework in Systems Management and Software Programming. At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and networking working across different roles from implementation to support with 4-5 years’ experience in leading the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure for business applications in a mid to large size organization.
