We are looking for a talented Frontend Creative Technologist to join our Onsite Tech Team, based at one of our client's sites.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy web-based applications (mobile-first and desktop) based on internal designs.
- Build and maintain various in-house tools.
- Collaborate with DevOps staff to compile, build, and deploy front-end applications that enhance user experience across multiple languages (Unity/C#, JavaScript, VVVV, Arduino, C++, etc.).
- Conduct code reviews and understand provided codebases to ensure maintainability and support over time.
- Create automated testing processes for applications from different vendors, in collaboration with the DevOps engineer.
- Research new mobile, web, and other front-end tools and technologies to keep our tech stack cutting-edge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Creative Director to develop rich solutions for ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with the Head of IT, Head of AV, and Director of Technology (alongside the Senior Backend Engineer) to build internal web-based tools and dashboards.
- Implement designs and requirements provided by the Creative Director.
- Define and implement solutions to meet the needs of the AV and IT teams.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art solutions for optimal user experiences across various systems deployed by the technology team.
- Work with creative partners to fix and enhance deployed applications, running on Web and Unity codebases.
What We're Looking For:
- Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Full-stack development with a strong focus on front-end.
- 3+ years of experience in building front-end web experiences for both mobile and desktop.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (ability to build complex sites using only HTML and CSS).
- 1+ years of experience with VueJS.
- Experience in mobile development for iOS and/or Android (Swift and/or Kotlin preferred).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PHP, Bash/Shell, PowerShell, C, C++, C#, VueJS (or ReactJS), Unity, and Touch Designer.
- Passion for rich front-end development and pushing the boundaries of web development.
Preferred Technology Exposure:
The client manages several interactive exhibitions, websites, and mobile experiences written in various languages. The onsite internal development team designs, implements, and manages custom applications, both in-house and with external partners. The Creative Technologist will assist in building custom web-based solutions (desktop and mobile) focused on immersive interactive experiences using technologies like:
- Unity3D
- Touch Designer
- C-Sharp and Windows Presentation Framework
- NodeJS with a variety of Frameworks
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Python
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing rich interactive applications based on both static and animated designs. A strong technology foundation and the ability to review and build code in various programming languages are essential.
