About the Job
Avrioc Technologies is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. You will work closely with the development team to write test plans, develop test cases, and utilize testing tools to generate reports and scenarios. Participation in Sprint activities and maintaining an up-to-date task list are essential, as well as performing various types of testing based on project features and requirements.
You will engage in Q&A sessions to align with the team and provide support to developers in debugging complex issues. Furthermore, you will work with the customer support team to verify and address customer-reported issues, documenting your learnings and sharing insights with the team for continuous improvement. Training and knowledge transfer sessions are also part of your responsibilities, ensuring critical issues are highlighted and escalated for resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write test plans and test cases.
- Use testing tools for generating test scenarios and reports.
- Participate in Sprint activities and keep tasks updated.
- Perform various types of testing based on features and requirements.
- Take part and provide input during Q&A sessions.
- Support developers in troubleshooting challenging issues.
- Work with customer support to verify and highlight reported issues.
- Document findings and share learnings with the team.
- Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Track and emphasize critical issues to ensure they are addressed.
- Maintain efficient metrics.
Experience & Expertise:
- Extensive experience in various testing types and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Bug/Test case management tools such as JIRA.
- Experience testing on multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Apple TV (a plus).
- Ability to write test cases from requirements and technical specifications.
- Competence in identifying root causes through concrete reproduction steps.
- Skill in documenting, tracking, and presenting work effectively.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Proven track record in test planning and end-to-end ownership of product quality.
- Capability to write comprehensive reports on feature tests.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software/game testing.
- An interest or fitness level to test bicycles is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Game QA.
- Familiarity with QA tools and platforms.
- A passion for cycling.
