Avrioc Technologies is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Immediate joiners are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and practical experience with our technology stack and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and administration of Linux servers (Ubuntu & Amazon Linux).
- Conduct OS baselining for vulnerability assessment and patching using industry best practices and tools.
- Utilize scripting languages like Bash, Python, or NodeJS.
- Manage web and proxy servers such as Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, and HAproxy.
- Administer cloud services from AWS and Azure, including EC2, RDS, S3, and more.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for architecture and design of networking and application architecture for High Availability (HA) and fault-tolerance.
- Migrate workloads from on-premises to the cloud and perform cost analysis to eliminate unnecessary overprovisioning.
- Manage container technology and orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and AWS EKS/ECS.
- Collaborate closely with developers on containerization of MEAN/MERN and JAVA stack applications.
- Utilize configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Design, implement, and manage code repositories using GitLab or GitHub.
- Troubleshoot and administer build systems like Jenkins.
- Familiarity with streaming and queuing systems including Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Build and modify iOS or Android mobile application environments.
- Implement monitoring and observability platforms such as Elastic stack, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
- Collaborate using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Conduct impact assessments, manage releases, deployment methodologies, and incident and change management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a major in Mathematics.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a DevOps role, with hands-on expertise in the technologies listed above.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional, Kubernetes Administrators (CKA/CKAD), and RHCSA/RHCE are highly preferred.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with caching technologies like Redis and Memcache.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
