Position

As an FSTD Support Engineer I, you will support Flight Simulator Training Devices and other training devices. Your responsibilities include:

  • Attending maintenance calls, setting up devices, conducting conversions, and providing demos.
  • Assisting during simulator flight tests and supporting snag clearance activities.
  • Independently performing Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs), Daily Readiness (DR), and Recurrent QTG runs, as well as Aircraft Database (ADB) and IOS Lesson Plan (LP) updates on training devices and associated systems.
  • Keeping associated records up to date and acting on deficiencies related to these tasks.
  • Maintaining and tracking consumable items and tools required for maintenance tasks.
  • Performing low-level troubleshooting of issues on training devices using schematics and documentation.
  • Monitoring SimHub/Simissues for updates and utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage deficiencies and maintenance activities.
  • Managing roles autonomously as a Device Caretaker, Task Caretaker, or Lead for other training devices.
  • Creating, improving, or updating procedures and guidelines for routine tasks.
  • Participating in On-the-Job Training (OJT) for FSTD Support Apprentices.
  • Supporting logistics duties, including yearly inventories, store arrangements, and shipping preparations.
  • Complying with CAE's local and global Environmental Health & Safety standards, including exercising duty of care for your own health and safety.
