Position

The Simulator Support Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting simulator systems to ensure their operational readiness. Key responsibilities include assisting in updating monthly NDB, charts, checklists, etc., as guided by senior engineers; performing preventive maintenance tasks independently on simulators and associated systems; diagnosing and correcting simulator issues by referring to schematics; utilizing the Maintenance Management System (Gemini) to record and track maintenance activities; carrying out housekeeping functions to maintain the simulator's appearance and functionality; performing preflight checks on all simulators and ensuring morning readiness is signed off when required; running QTG in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule and verifying with the engineer on shift; and pursuing ongoing professional growth and training from senior colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct simulator experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience at the assigned location.
  • Proficiency with various test equipment and software diagnostics on at least one type of simulator.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and research skills for hardware modifications and upgrades.
  • Ability to assist with the development and delivery of technical training for other technicians.
  • Recognized as a Technical Expert on at least one major simulator system (e.g., motion, visual, aircraft systems).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and suite.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is mandatory.
