We are seeking an experienced Simulator Electrical / Hardware Technician to join our team at Al Majma’ah Airbase, specializing in advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) simulators. In this role, you will work as part of a team of three technicians responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of three UAV Simulators—two Generic Mission Training devices and one desktop system. This position offers a varied technical experience, allowing you to work on modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge. Working Hours: 0700 - 1500, Sunday to Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, resolve, and troubleshoot issues in complex flight simulation systems.
- Collaborate with test engineers/pilots to implement updates and bug fixes at the subsystem level.
- Support data integration, software/hardware updates, and exchange of various assemblies.
- Calibrate instruments and perform functional testing of systems.
- Conduct detailed fault analysis and repair of faults/components.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist in diagnosing issues with simulators.
- Utilize maintenance management systems to document and track maintenance activities.
- Execute pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators.
- Perform visual calibrations and run Qualification Test Guides (QTG).
- Assist with hardware modifications and administrative tasks as needed.
- Handle logistics duties such as receiving parts, repairs, and testing/validation.
About You:
- Relevant technical qualifications and work experience in electronic, avionic, or technician roles.
- Strong background in electrical and hardware engineering.
- Familiarity with software applications (coding skills not required).
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of PC architecture.
- Experience in soldering and circuit board repairs is preferred.
- Competent in Microsoft Office tools.
- Practical, analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is required; additional languages may be beneficial.
