Position

We are seeking an experienced Simulator Electrical / Hardware Technician to join our team at Al Majma’ah Airbase, specializing in advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) simulators. In this role, you will work as part of a team of three technicians responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of three UAV Simulators—two Generic Mission Training devices and one desktop system. This position offers a varied technical experience, allowing you to work on modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge. Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 0700 - 1500, Sunday to Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, resolve, and troubleshoot issues in complex flight simulation systems.
  • Collaborate with test engineers/pilots to implement updates and bug fixes at the subsystem level.
  • Support data integration, software/hardware updates, and exchange of various assemblies.
  • Calibrate instruments and perform functional testing of systems.
  • Conduct detailed fault analysis and repair of faults/components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist in diagnosing issues with simulators.
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Execute pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators.
  • Perform visual calibrations and run Qualification Test Guides (QTG).
  • Assist with hardware modifications and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handle logistics duties such as receiving parts, repairs, and testing/validation.

About You:

  • Relevant technical qualifications and work experience in electronic, avionic, or technician roles.
  • Strong background in electrical and hardware engineering.
  • Familiarity with software applications (coding skills not required).
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of PC architecture.
  • Experience in soldering and circuit board repairs is preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Practical, analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is required; additional languages may be beneficial.
