Position

We are seeking an experienced Simulator Electrical / Hardware Technician to join our team at Al Majma’ah Airbase, focusing on advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) simulators. In this role, you will be part of a team of three technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of three UAV Simulators: two Generic Mission Training devices and one desktop system. This position offers technical variety, allowing you to work on modern simulators, systems, and equipment which will enhance your technical expertise. Our working hours are from 0700 to 1500, Sunday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in complex flight simulation systems.
  • Collaborate with test engineers/pilots to implement updates and bug fixes at the subsystem level.
  • Support the integration of data, updates, software, hardware, and various assemblies.
  • Conduct calibration of instruments and functional testing of systems.
  • Perform detailed fault analysis and rectification or repair of faults/components.
  • Learn and execute preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting simulator issues.
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators.
  • Perform visual calibrations and run Qualification Test Guides (QTG).
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  • Carry out administrative and logistics duties as required, including parts receiving and testing/validation.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualifications with work experience in electronics, avionics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in electrical and hardware engineering.
  • Experience with software systems (coding is not necessary).
  • Computer literate (familiarity with PC and/or computer systems).
  • Experience in soldering and circuit board repairs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Practical and analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Language Requirements:

  • English proficiency is required.
