Position

We are seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineering Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities. This role involves assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers, ranging from graduate to senior level, in the areas of Presales and Professional Services.
  • Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Work remotely in a single major time zone.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to team members.
  • Identify and measure team health indicators, implementing disciplined engineering processes.
  • Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Develop and evangelize excellent engineering and organizational practices.
  • Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
  • Collaborate with other leaders within the organization.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience with embedded Linux, preferably with Yocto.
  • Proficiency in Linux, with a preference for Debian or Ubuntu.
  • Fluency in at least one of the programming languages: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience managing a small team and engaging with customers.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Result-oriented with a strong personal drive to meet commitments.

Desirable Traits:

  • Experience with RTOS.
  • Additional language skills (both programming and spoken languages).
  • Previous experience working in a remote-first, diverse, and distributed company.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a fully remote role.
  • Collaboration occurs in various time zones.
