This is an exciting role where you will work on popular software systems and various integrations. The Commercial Systems unit comprises several engineering teams that collaborate closely with others within Canonical.

The role will involve:

  • Developing engineering solutions using Golang
  • Collaborating on technical designs and code reviews
  • Deploying and operating team-developed services
  • Mentoring and offering career development feedback based on seniority

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the Billing team, which specializes in a Golang service for billing metrics and customer expenditure visibility.
  • Participating in the Contracts team to design and maintain a service that becomes the single source for customer contracts.
  • Engaging with the Livepatch team focused on delivering Linux kernel patches to enhance system security.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional academic record with an undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling personal narrative.
  • Experience in software development, specifically with Golang.
  • Strong presentation, result-oriented mindset, and the ability to meet commitments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
