Position

As a Linux Desktop Support Associate, you will be accountable for delivering technical support to employees and customers, as well as facilitating AV support for office conferences and events.

In this role, you will own and manage your support cases, providing technical expertise and excellent communication as a service-oriented professional. You will be the main technical resource for the office, prioritizing customer issues, and balancing in-person support with remote case management. You will also have the opportunity to learn about new products and technologies and participate in various training sessions and company events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for employees in the London office.
  • Familiarize yourself with the technical infrastructure supporting the office and events.
  • Onboard new employees technically.
  • Provide and maintain security monitoring for employees.
  • Ensure support requests are handled per Service Level Agreement (SLA) to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members and contribute to a common knowledge base.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience in a Linux-based environment, through education or work experience.
  • Proficiency in desktop Linux tools and basic troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a customer-facing role.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Basic knowledge of programming (e.g., bash, Perl, Ruby, C++).
  • Experience supporting Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualized environments and containers.
  • Experience in customer support and AV event support.
