As a Python Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, speed, and security of our product. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing backend systems that power our platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems, focusing on enhancing the performance and user experience for our clients.
Experience & Domain Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of distributed applications and client-server models
- Experience in FinTech, Banking, or similar areas is a must
- Knowledge of scalability technologies for handling sudden influxes of user activities or transactions
- Familiarity with designing, building, and optimizing high-performance systems
- Understanding of potential threats and security measures for transactional data
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Python and related frameworks (Flask, Requests, FastAPI)
- Strong SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL)
- Proficiency in Git Flow, Docker, TDD/BDD methodologies
- Hands-on experience in SDLC, Kubernetes, CI/CD strategies
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar solutions)
Soft Skills:
- Effective communication skills, especially with teams responsible for security, operations, and product
- Analytical thinking to tackle and investigate complex problems
- Adaptability to rapid technological changes and evolving business requirements
- Readiness to take ownership of tasks and demonstrate accountability for results
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
