During your tenure as a Director in AI&Data, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

  • You will already have a network of business contacts in the region especially in Financial Services (Banking and Insurance) and be able to advise CDOs, CIOs and CEOs on leading practice approaches in key areas of the Analytics and Data practice. You will do this by combining your personal experience and expertise with existing Deloitte propositions in Artificial Intelligence and Data Strategy, Data operating model design, Analytics and Insights and Data platforms modernization. You will also be expected to contribute to the further development of Deloitte's intellectual property across AI&Data function.
  • As Director you will be responsible for the independent delivery of engagements or major modules of large projects.
  • Contribute to Clients Deliver Value to clients, develop and maintain Client Relationships, and perform Client Development and Delivery activities.
    • Lead projects and provide strategic direction across the account to deliver a superior client experience.
    • Build deep sector expertise and manages engagements across accounts within Financial services
    • Demonstrate your technical abilities across Data and AI to lead and manage teams and client engagements successfully
    • Focus client on value-generating initiatives to accelerate the pace of change and impact to overall client goals.
    • Bring the latest innovations in AI and data domains to the client to continuously add value
    • Manage and advance relationships with clients beyond immediate engagement needs and serves as a trusted advisor, setting aside personal agenda to strengthen interactions with clients.
    • Take control of challenging situations and diffuses escalated situations calmly by controlling own emotions and recognizing emotions in others.
    • Lead the proposal development process; assembles a pursuit team with the necessary skillset and knowledge needed to prepare sales materials.
    • Anticipate challenges to AI & Data implementations and proactively develops plans to mitigate risks.
    • Leverage FS industry trends to advise clients on how to create sustainable sources of advantage and differentiate their value proposition for future business growth, positioning them for long term competitiveness.
    • Bring deep insights across clients and sectors to drive a client’s strategic choices around where to play, how to win, and how to configure the business to establish sustainable advantage and market position.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree from a top-tier university, preferably in the fields of economics, business administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, engineering or a related field; an MBA or relevant master’s degree is strongly beneficial
  • At least 14+ years of experience in consulting or a relevant professional discipline or industry, delivering AI and Analytics engagements into the FS industry (Banking and/or Insurance sector). This would cover Banking and/or Insurance sector clients. Sector knowledge in one/ two of these industries is a must (A strong candidate will already have a portfolio of contacts across the region)
  • Led Large Data transformations programs in Financial Services
  • Extensive experience in two or more of the following competencies are required: Data Strategy, Data Transformation, Data platforms, Cloud, Business analytics and Insights, Data Science, AI, Data Governance
  • A willingness to travel 80 - 100% of the time
  • Excellent business connections in GCC
  • Extensive experience in developing proposals and managing bid processes essential; demonstrated ability to propose, pitch and sell additional services to clients
  • Strong program management skills and should have led a team of at least 10 members to deliver engagements or as direct reports
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Arabic language skills a bonus but not essential
  • Ability to travel extensively, and on a weekly basis, is required
  • Role to be based in Riyadh/Dubai (Riyadh is preferred)
  • Experience in Big Four or Global System Integrators is a plus
