Position

Denodo is seeking a technical and passionate Data Engineer to join our Customer Success team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves traveling, consulting, developing, training, and troubleshooting to enhance our clients’ journey with Data Virtualization. Your mission will be to help clients realize their full potential through the accelerated adoption and productive use of Denodo solutions.

In this position, you will leverage your high technical expertise and client management skills to conduct both on-site and off-site consulting, product implementation, and solutions development, acting as a critical point of contact between Denodo, partners, and client teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and maintain strong knowledge of the Denodo Platform to deliver compelling technical pitches, covering key features, offerings, and competitive positioning.
  • Address technical questions related to customization, integration, enterprise architecture, and product features.
  • Build and lead the development of custom deployments based on client requirements.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive customer feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support, and Development.
  • Train clients on product architecture, configuration, and use of the Denodo Platform.
  • Promote knowledge and best practices while managing deliverables and client expectations.
  • Develop white papers, presentations, training materials, or documentation on relevant topics.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a Data Engineer or similar role in the data management or analytics software industry.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database management theory and practice.
  • Proficiency in Java software development and familiarity with JDBC, XML, and Web Services APIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with active listening abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, curiosity for learning, and creativity in developing innovative solutions.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Non-Mandatory Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with GIT or other version control systems.
  • Familiarity with Big Data and/or NoSQL environments (e.g., Hadoop, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of caching technologies like JCS.
  • Experience with Windows & Linux (and UNIX) operating systems.
  • Involvement in business software implementation and integration projects.
  • Industry experience supporting mission-critical software components.
  • Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus.
