Position

To control and manage the administration of the Department in addition to providing confidential secretarial/administrative services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the daily schedule of the Departmental Head/Manager and furnishing required information/documentation for meetings/appointments.
  • Providing secretarial services by attending to routine administrative paperwork.
  • Screening incoming mails and telephone calls, actioning responses, and redirecting correspondence.
  • Supervising the Department's attendance records and overtime claims, verifying claims where necessary.
  • Maintaining Petty Cash accounts and controlling cash transactions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of general administration experience.
  • 12 years of schooling or equivalent (Secretarial qualification preferable).
  • At least 4 years of experience in an administrative capacity within a medium or large-sized company.
  • Full competency in MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, with pleasant telephone etiquette and the ability to prioritize work.
