About the Job
The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who utilizes the latest technology to implement and support platforms for analytical use-cases. The selected candidate will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives, ensuring that optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The candidate must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. You will also be responsible for monitoring analytical systems to ensure that the environments run smoothly.
Accountabilities
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Analyze and organize raw data
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Interpret trends and patterns / Build algorithms and prototypes
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics
Education & Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in the IT industry
- 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Engineering Stack (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Event Hub, Cosmos DB, ADLS Gen2, Function app)
- Good understanding of other Azure services
- 3+ years of experience with Python / Pyspark
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and good understanding of Data Warehouse Architecture, Data Modeling, and design concepts
- Experience in Power BI, SFTP, Messaging, and APIs would be an advantage
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Effective working in a team as well as independently
- Experience working in Agile delivery
- Knowledge of software development best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- DP200/DP201 certification is an added advantage
