About the Job
Core42 seeks a proactive, highly analytical, and innovative professional for the role of Network Security Specialist, responsible for safeguarding the integrity and resilience of the organization’s network security infrastructure and its global customer base. You will ensure that our network security ecosystem is securely and effectively implemented and managed, protecting it from vulnerabilities, cyberattacks, data breaches, and unauthorized access.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Centre, Information Security governance team, IT governance team, and business unit stakeholders to design, deploy, and manage core security infrastructure.
• Develop and execute delivery plans with Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams to implement cutting-edge security tools and capabilities.
• Work with information security teams to identify and mitigate security risks while ensuring the timely deployment of security tools with minimal business impact.
• Evaluate and integrate next-generation security solutions, focusing on scalability and automation to meet organizational security demands.
• Administer and architect Zscaler solutions (ZNTA, ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) to enhance secure internet access and zero-trust architecture.
• Configure, manage, and optimize Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), with a preference for F5 technology, ensuring robust application security.
• Manage and maintain firewalls, particularly Fortinet and Palo Alto, ensuring configuration aligns with security best practices.
• Implement and manage Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to maintain network integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Configure and maintain Azure networking components (NSGs, ASGs, NVAs, VNET Peering, Azure Firewall, Azure Gateways) to secure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in network security protocols and architecture, ensuring alignment with business growth and technological advancements.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry regulations such as PCI DSS, GDPR, NESA, and SOC.
• Collaborate with the threat intelligence team to integrate threat detection and response strategies into network operations.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and threat landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
• Security specialist certifications (e.g., CISCO SCOR, Azure/AWS security specialist).
• 10 years of hands-on experience in Security Architecture, Security Operations, and security solutions implementation in a global company.
• Expertise in Zscaler technologies and hands-on experience with Web Application Firewalls, preferably F5 solutions.
• Proficient in firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet and Palo Alto.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles at the network level and expertise in security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Familiarity with Network Access Control solutions and Azure networking components.
• Proficient in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and deep understanding of PCI DSS, NESA, SOC, and GDPR security guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to convey complex technical information to non-technical users.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and familiarity with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
