Field Software Service Engineer - Implementation and Application Support

Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) is seeking a Field Software Service Engineer to implement and support software applications, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues within our Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role is hybrid, based in Dubai, and involves implementing software packages at customer sites, assisting in troubleshooting, and providing onsite support when needed.

The candidate should possess experience in installing and configuring IBM WebSphere Application Server and Jboss EAP, and be proficient in application deployment within a Java EE environment. Strong technical skills in database management, SQL, networking standards, and .NET application deployment are required. The role involves documenting issues, replicating environments for troubleshooting, and maintaining strong customer relationships while staying updated on G+D's product knowledge.

Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a related field with over four years of customer support experience, ideally in banking or warehousing. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, and professionalism under pressure. Flexibility for long hours may be necessary, and fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
