About the Job:
Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a Cloud Solutions Consultant. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring seamless cloud and database operations while collaborating closely with key stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of cloud technology, supporting real-world applications that create a meaningful impact.
As a Cloud Solutions Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing responsive and customer-focused support for cloud and database requests.
- Engaging directly with customers, delivering timely updates and addressing concerns to ensure a seamless delivery experience.
- Executing SQL queries and providing accurate, real-time insights.
- Ensuring secure and compliant database backups.
- Managing data migrations between test and production environments.
- Deploying approved system customizations for design, visualization, and engineering solutions.
- Monitoring database performance, focusing on scalability and reliability.
- Administering and enhancing Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
- Automating routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Collaborating with global teams to improve infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Participating in on-call support for critical systems.
Education / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
- 6-10 years of experience in database administration and cloud infrastructure management.
- Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure Cloud environments in an enterprise setting.
- Strong SQL expertise and experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Azure SQL Database, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, PowerShell).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure processes, monitoring, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
