We are seeking a seasoned Software Architect with a strong background in mobile application development and a profound understanding of security principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile application architectures, considering factors such as user experience, performance, scalability, and security
- Create comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design documents, security policies, and guidelines to facilitate understanding and knowledge transfer
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the engineering team
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into projects
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on security best practices, including data encryption, authentication mechanisms, secure data storage, secure communications, and vulnerability assessments
- Conduct thorough security risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in mobile applications, proposing mitigation strategies to address them effectively
- Optimize mobile application performance while maintaining security standards, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning strategies
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product development, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks related to mobile application development and security, recommending adoption or integration based on their potential to enhance security posture and development efficiency
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to security standards, best practices, and industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc
- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards across all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and performance
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and security professionals to ensure security requirements are integrated seamlessly into the development process
- Provide mentorship and training to development teams on security principles, secure coding practices, and emerging threats
- Foster a culture of security awareness and knowledge sharing within the organization
- Orchestrate and navigate organizational changes while ensuring the smooth adaptation of teams and processes
Experience And Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development with a focus on architecture and security
Key Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in mobile development technologies such as iOS, Android, React Native, Xamarin, etc
- In-depth understanding of security principles, protocols, and standards (e.g., OWASP, OAuth, SSL/TLS, PKI)
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as penetration testing tools, vulnerability scanners, encryption libraries, etc
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities in mobile applications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or equivalent are a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
