Lead Software Engineer

We're a tiny but mighty startup team - two ex-neobank operators who’ve scaled consumer products in the past. Now, we're trading spreadsheets for live shopping and designer threads. We're searching for a Lead Software Engineer to be our technical backbone – practically a CTO in the making. You'll wear many hats, starting by laying the groundwork on your own, and then potentially building a small engineering team as we grow.

Here's what you'll conquer:

• Zero to One: Hit the ground running and begin initial development of the app's core functionalities.
• Team Builder (if needed): Build and scale a fast-moving full-stack engineering team when the time is right.
• Technical Visionary: Craft the technical roadmap for the app, making critical decisions about architecture, scalability, and technology stack.
• Full-Stack Hero: Be comfortable dipping your toes in all aspects of development – from backend to frontend and everything in between.
• Problem-solving Extraordinaire: Tackle complex technical challenges with a cool head and a knack for finding elegant solutions.
• Communication Champion: Clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in consumer tech companies.
• Possesses a proven track record of leading and mentoring small engineering teams.
• Has a deep knowledge of mobile frontend and backend languages, frameworks, and technologies (bonus points for experience with live streaming APIs).
• Boasts excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces the challenges of a startup.
