As a Compliance Technical Specialist (TS), you will be part of a virtual team comprising sales, technical, partner, and consulting resources. Your role will focus on educating and demonstrating the value of our Microsoft 365 Purview portfolio to customers, empowering them to protect, govern, and safeguard their sensitive data while managing regulatory compliance requirements and maintaining customer and employee privacy. This position will enhance your technical expertise and consultative selling skills across various Data Security and Compliance solutions.
We are looking for a passionate and credible professional with experience in Data Security (Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management) and/or Data Compliance (Records Management, legal eDiscovery, Audit, Communication Compliance, Compliance Manager) to join our global team. The role is flexible, allowing for up to 50% remote work.
Responsibilities
- Scale Customer Engagements: Engage customers proactively, building credibility as a trusted advisor for Data Security and Compliance with Microsoft 365 Purview solutions. Address blockers, drive technical wins, leverage customer references, and collaborate with product teams to communicate impact.
- Technical Depth and Breadth: Have a deep technical understanding of cloud security architectures and related technologies, including Identity and Access Management, Threat Protection, and Data Security. Demonstrate and oversee product demonstrations, proofs of concept, pilots, and trials.
- Understanding of Organizational Gen AI Security Needs: Understand Gen AI application implementation within organizations and recommend solutions leveraging Data Security and Compliance knowledge.
- Build Strategy: Develop strategies to improve customers’ Data Security and Compliance posture, capture competitive knowledge, and tailor Microsoft messaging based on customer feedback and competitive landscape context.
- Collaborate across Teams: Work closely with internal and external teams during the sales cycle, communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Develop and Maintain Technical Expertise: Stay updated on developments in Data Security and Compliance, grow product knowledge, and mentor internal teams.
- Consultative Technical Selling: Utilize a consultative approach to provide innovative solutions to customers’ problems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
- Relevant certifications in technologies or disciplines such as Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect, and Information Security.
