Position

The Center for Cyber Security (CCS) at New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Research Associate / Postdoctoral Associate position in the area of Quantum Computing Security. The candidate will be engaged in cutting-edge research across various topics, including but not limited to Quantum Machine Learning (QML), Machine Learning on Quantum Computers, Security of Quantum Circuits, Design Automation and Tools for Quantum Circuits, Robust and Efficient Mapping of Quantum Algorithms on Quantum Machines, Quantum Noise-Aware Optimizations for QML, QML Security, Error Correction for Quantum Computing, Secure Quantum-Classical Systems, Privacy-Preserving Quantum Computing, and Fingerprinting for Quantum Computing. Candidates with strong work experience using quantum machines and development environments such as QiSKit and PennyLane are highly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will explore interdisciplinary research problems in collaboration with other postdocs and industrial partners, enhancing connections across various areas.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates (On-site)

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in Quantum Physics is advantageous.
  • Applicants with a PhD in Quantum Physics focusing on Quantum Circuits, Quantum Algorithms, and software development for Quantum Machines are also welcome.

Work Conditions:

  • The appointment is for a duration of two years, with the potential for extensions based on performance reviews.
  • The position offers a competitive salary, generous housing allowance, medical insurance, annual home leave allowance, and dependent private school fees (if applicable). Salaries are tax-free in the UAE, and applicants can benefit from the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion for US tax purposes.
