As a HeatWave Analytics Solution Engineer Africa, you will partner with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design, demonstrate, and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include driving Oracle Cloud customer consumption and accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services through discovery, design, and deployment.
You will participate in customer engagements to design and implement solutions collaboratively. This role involves working directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into effective solutions. You will also ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting, creating technical assets such as white papers and video demonstrations to support customer success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with computer applications and tools
- Ability to travel 25% (international and domestic)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
- Expertise in system and application design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in solving technical problems in technical environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of the Oracle HeatWave Solution Engineering team focused on driving cloud adoption
- Handle a high volume of engagements in the fast-paced cloud computing market
- Maintain strong database technical knowledge and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and discussions to drive awareness of Oracle HeatWave initiatives
- Lead customer workshops and provide in-depth technical discussions on HeatWave and OCI technologies
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is required
Additional Skills:
- Good knowledge of SQL, Machine Learning and AI, IT architectures, and networking
- Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos) is preferable
- Understanding of modern data platforms like AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks
- Certifications in Cloud, Analytics, or AI/ML technology are a plus
